20 metre jump | Adrenaline pumping conditions.

Kite surfing high jumps are super exciting and really get your adrenaline pumping! To pull off a high jump, you've got to nail a few things like technique and the right conditions.

First off, the wind is key—look for that sweet spot around 15 to 25 knots. If it’s too wild, you'll struggle to keep control, and if it’s too calm, you won’t get enough lift.

Also, pick the right kite size for the wind and your weight. Bigger kites can lift you high, but they can be tough to handle when you’re airborne.

When you go for the jump, it all comes down to how you pop off the water. You need to push down hard with your board and pull back on the kite to catch some air. Timing and how you position your body can really boost your height.

When you’re in the air, keep your knees bent and pull them up toward your chest to stay balanced. And as you come back down, focus on landing with your weight over the board to avoid wiping out.

Don’t forget to wear a helmet and impact vest for safety, especially when you're trying to get some height. It's all about practising in a chill spot, slowly building up your skills, and learning from others who know their stuff!
